High-tech holographic grating research and development for special scientific instrument development received acceptance

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] On September 1, 2017, the preliminary acceptance of the “High-end Holographic Grating R&D” project of the national major scientific instrument and equipment development organized by the Financial Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Changchun was successfully passed. The meeting listened to the "Project Development Work Report" made by Changchun Guangji and the report on the sub-tasks of each participating unit, and questioned and discussed. Subsequently, the on-site test and acceptance of the grating and instrument equipment developed by the project were carried out.

Prior to the project of "High-Rate Holographic Grating R&D" project, the holographic grating product developed by Changchun Optics and Engines Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has been successfully applied to various types of spectroscopic instruments of various spectroscopic instrument companies at home and abroad. However, there is a big gap between the technological capabilities and foreign counterparts. The high-end holographic gratings urgently needed by high-end spectrometer instruments still do not fully realize independent intellectual property rights. Some products need to be imported, and the prices are relatively expensive, which hinders the progress of spectroscopic instrument products entering the international market.
The goal of this project is to develop the core components of high-end spectroscopic instruments - high-end holographic gratings: (1) to establish a development platform integrating holographic grating design, manufacture, and inspection; (2) to develop gratings that are needed in the spectral analysis market to form a certain industrial scale; Meet the needs of China's spectrum analysis instrument industry and open up the international market; 3 The development of gratings will be applied in demonstration and industrialization promotion in the spectrum analysis instrument companies, and the independent innovation of high-end holographic grating will drive the independent innovation of high-end spectrum analysis instruments in China to improve China's The spectrum analysis instrument industry chain leads and drives the entire spectrum analysis instrument industry to develop in depth, and the radiation-driven spectrum analysis technology is expanded to more fields of application to further enhance China's initiative in foreign economic exchanges.
The implementation of this project has freed China's research work in related fields from being under the control of people and broke through foreign technical barriers. The project has developed 11 holographic gratings such as low stray light gratings, high resolution fiber gratings, special surface gratings, and volume holographic gratings. In the application demonstration and industrialization promotion of five spectral analysis instrument companies, five new types of spectrum analysis instruments were developed, which formed a certain scale of industrialization, reduced costs, and met the needs of China's spectrum analysis instrument industry, filling the domestic The blanks of products have reduced the price of similar foreign products in China, and some spectrometers have been exported abroad. The R&D EUV soft X-ray monochromator has been used in the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory to enhance our country's spectral calibration capability and provide scientific and technological support for the “second phase project of the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory”.
