Majestic CDQ plant officially opened

During the “May 1st” period, the localized JNG-2 CDQ unit designed by Ma’anshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. for 7.63 meters large coke oven in Anhui Province broke ground in the new district and announced that Masteel’s “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period has entered another important supporting project. The substantial construction stage marks a new step for the new district coking project to build a modern coking production line with advanced technology and first-class environment. It will also play an active role in advancing China's domestic CDQ technology and equipment.

CDQ technology is an advanced technology promoted by China's metallurgical industry. It has the advantages of improving the quality of coke, recovering red coke heat energy, reducing environmental pollution, and reducing the total cost of steel production. It has been put into production in Maanshan Iron & Steel Co., No. 5 and No. 6 coke ovens. In the CDQ demonstration project, the economic, environmental, and social benefits of CDQ process technology are significant. In order to build the new district into a large modern factory with advanced technology and first-class environment, two 70-hole 7.63 meters large coke ovens under construction are becoming environmentally friendly coke ovens, and Masteel has invested nearly 300 million yuan in these two domestic projects. The largest coke oven is equipped with 2 sets of JNG-2 CDQ units with a processing capacity of 130 tons/hour, and correspondingly equipped with 70 tons/hour, 3.82 MPa CDQ boilers and 2 sets of 18000 kW extraction steam condensing steam. The turbine generators will provide quality coke for the 4000 cubic meter blast furnace in Maanshan New District.
