On September 11, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the fifth batch of tax-free new energy vehicles, including 26 passenger cars. In the list of passenger cars announced, 20 pure electric vehicles including Beiqi EV260, Haima Aishang EV, FAW Pentium EV and BMW i3 were shortlisted. For plug-in hybrid vehicles, six models including the BYD F3DM are also on the list. Since the four batches of lists announced since last September are all domestic models, the BMW i3 is the first time for the entry of imported cars. The maximum power and maximum torque of the BMW i3 are 125 kW and 250 Nm respectively. The cruising range of the car is up to 160 km, and the model with extended range devices can be increased to 285 km. From now until the end of 2017, consumers can enjoy a 10% vehicle purchase tax deduction for BMW i3 fashion, luxury and BMW i3 extended-range models.
