Briefly introduce clutch troubleshooting

First, the phenomenon of failure:

When the engine is idling, the clutch pedal is stepped to the end, but it is difficult to shift gears, and the transmission gear has a crash sound. After reluctantly putting on the gear, the clutch pedal has not been released and the car has been exercised or turned off.

Second, check:

Remove the clutch cover, engage the transmission in neutral, and press the clutch to the end. Then, use a screwdriver to pull the driven plate. If it is easy to turn, it means that the clutch is well separated; if it cannot be moved, the clutch is not completely separated.

Third, exclude:

1. Check if the free travel of the clutch pedal is too large and adjust it.

2. Check whether the height of the separation lever is the same and whether it is too low.

Move the release fork under the car, so that the front end of the release bearing gently rests on the inner face of the release lever, and rotate the clutch one week to check. If the inner end of the release lever can contact with the release bearing at the same time, the height of the release lever is indicated. Inconsistent, adjustments should be made.

If the separation levers are of the same height and the separation is still incomplete, check the lever height. Distribute the levers to the same height. If they can be completely separated, they may be improperly adjusted or worn. After the release lever adjustment, the free travel of the clutch pedal must be re-adjusted.

3. If the above adjustment is normal and the separation is still incomplete, remove the clutch and check if the driven plate is installed with reverse or axial movement. Is there any warpage in the main driven plate? Is the lever screw loose or floating? Whether it falls off.

4. For the newly riveted friction plate clutch, check if the driven plate and friction plate are too thick. If it is too thick, add a spacer between the clutch cover and the flywheel.

5. For hydraulically-actuated clutches, in addition to the above checks, it is also necessary to check whether the brake fluid is missing, whether the pipeline leaks and discharges the air in the hydraulic system.
