Commuter X4: Eye-catching Wearable Bicycle Light

Recently, Ed Ward, a cycling enthusiast in London, invented a wearable bicycle light, the Commuter X4, to help motorists in night trains identify bicycles in front of them and determine distance and speed to avoid traffic accidents.

The Commuter X4 is an LED that can be carried on your body or backpack. It has four adjustable straps that can be tied to a 35-liter volume. LED lights have a waterproof function, a variety of flash patterns, can be used under harsh conditions. The device has a USB charging port that can be recharged for 15 hours on a single charge. Ed Ward said that the Commuter X4 is not easily blurred, has high brightness, is more flexible and conspicuous than traditional rear lights, and is safer to ride at night.
Commuter X4 won second place in the "British Inventors Award" at Gadget Show Live 2014. Currently, Ed Ward is developing a wearable bicycle light that can be placed on the front, rear, or helmet. The Commuter X4 has already started to raise funds on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter for $65.
