The CSR diesel LNG dual-fuel co-fuelled power pump truck (hereinafter referred to as China Southern LNG pump truck) is CSR's active response to the national energy-saving and emission reduction call, and has conducted in-depth research on the market structure of concrete machinery, leveraging on the high-tech and advanced technologies of CSR New Energy of China. The accumulated experience has been jointly developed with the State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy of Tsinghua University and the Vehicle Engineering Department of Beijing University of Science and Technology.
With the promulgation of the national favorable policies, the National Development and Reform Commission formally implemented a new version of the “Natural Gas Utilization Policy” in December 2012, making natural gas vehicles, especially dual-fuel and liquefied natural gas vehicles, a priority. Among them, LNG is an ultra-low temperature (-162°C) frozen liquid natural gas with a volume of 1/625 of gas. The main component is methane, which has the characteristics of large calorific value, high performance, low emission, and low cost. Compared with traditional gasoline and diesel, the emission of harmful substances from vehicle exhaust using LNG can be reduced by more than 90%, which is a veritable clean energy.

CSR LNG pump trucks, under the premise of retaining the original diesel power system, added an LNG gas supply system and a dual fuel injection electric control system including diesel and LNG. The control system also accurately controls the amount of diesel fuel injection and Natural gas jet, using diesel to ignite the mixed gas in the cylinder, realizes the combustion of diesel and natural gas in the same cylinder, and the single fuel mode becomes diesel LNG co-firing mode. With regard to the cost of pump trucks, 1 kg of natural gas does approximately 1 kg of diesel work. Currently, the price of LNG is maintained at approximately 0.6 times the local diesel market price. It solves the problem of delays in vehicle construction and delays due to the depletion of LNG at the construction site.
