Dalian Shipwood assembles the largest domestic power host

After successively completing the welding, processing and other processes, the 8K90MC-C with a power of 49,760 hp was put into the test bench assembly at the Dalian Marine Diesel Engine Factory. This machine is the low-speed marine diesel engine currently under construction in China. Its successful development and construction has filled the blank of China's ultra-large low-speed marine diesel engine manufacturing.

It is understood that the 8K90MC-C is for 4250 container ships. Its technical and economic indicators represent the advanced level of the world's marine mainframes, and currently only a few manufacturing plants in the world can manufacture. Large container ships previously built by domestic shipyards are imported from Japan and South Korea. During the "10th Five-Year Plan" period, Dalian Shipai made a solid preparation for the construction of super large-scale mainframes through technical transformation, construction of factories, purchase of equipment and strong strength.

In order to ensure that the 8K90MC-C machine was built as planned, Dalian Shipai carefully organized and held a special meeting for deployment, and implemented the item-by-item parts and domestic and foreign parts and components one by one. At the same time, the plant also set up a research team, focusing on the difficulty of lifting capacity and process equipment and the digestive absorption of the new design of the host, so that the machine is better guaranteed from technical preparation, process measures, process control, supporting organization and so on. , created conditions for the smooth assembly of the test bench.

On April 11, the 8K90MC-C machine was assembled at the test bench in Dalian Shipai. On April 24th, the mainframe crankshaft with a length of 14 meters and a weight of 237 tons was successfully lifted onto the test bench. Due to the long length of the crankshaft and the heavy tonnage, combined with the lack of experience in the first lifting, it brings difficulties to the lifting work. The technicians carefully calculated, determined the lifting points, selected the appropriate spreaders, and the crane workers worked closely together. After trial lifting and adjustment, the crankshaft was finally balanced, ensuring smooth lifting.

At present, the assembly work of the 8K90MC-C machine is proceeding in an orderly manner as planned, and will be delivered at the end of May and early June.
