In December 2011, China produced 13.533 million electric instruments and meters, a year-on-year decrease of 13.0%. According to data from China Business Intelligence Network, from January to December of 2011, the output of electrical instruments and meters in China reached 127 million units, a year-on-year increase of 16.95%.

From the perspective of the output of all provinces and cities, from January to December 2011, the output of electrical instrumentation in Zhejiang Province reached 672.729 million units, a year-on-year increase of 17.02%, accounting for 52.96% of the country's total production. Followed by provinces and cities such as Guangdong, Jiangsu and Chongqing.
