Jingmen Petrochemical used sulphur to treat acid gas in the past. It was designed to produce 6,500 tons of sulphur per year, with an overload of 7,434 tons. However, there is still a large amount of acid gas running through the chimney, which wastes resources and pollutes the environment.
In order to convert the waste gas into economic benefits and purify the environment, Jingmen Petrochemical invested 30 million yuan to build an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of sulfuric acid. The acid gas is used as the main raw material, and after incineration, purification, washing and drying, the second conversion The total absorption of sulphuric acid and sulphur from the secondary absorption reached 99.99%.
