After the diesel generator fuel is completely burned, the normal exhaust color is generally light gray, and when the load is slightly heavy, it is dark gray. In the work of the diesel engine, occasionally black smoke, white smoke, blue smoke and other abnormal phenomena occur. It is a condition for judging diesel engine failure. The analysis is as follows:
(a) Black smoke
Diesel oil is a complex hydrocarbon, and the unburned diesel injected into the combustion chamber is pyrolyzed to form carbon black. The exhaust gas is discharged together with the exhaust gas to form black smoke. Black smoke is a manifestation of incomplete combustion of fuel in the combustion chamber. The main influencing factors are as follows:
1, piston ring, cylinder sleeve and other wear
After the piston rings and cylinder liners are worn out, the compression pressure is insufficient, so that when the cylinder ends at the end of the compression stroke, the normal proportion of mixture gas mixture changes, so that the fuel burns under anaerobic conditions, resulting in carbon deposition.
2. Injector malfunction
The fuel injector does not atomize or drip, so that the fuel cannot be fully mixed with the air in the cylinder, nor can it fully burn. The phenomenon of black smoke caused by poor operation of the injector is obvious when the diesel engine is running at a low speed. Because the intake vortex in the cylinder is weak during low-speed operation, the possibility of oil droplets or oil jets being scattered by the air flow is reduced and the residence time is longer, and carbon black discharge is more easily formed.
3, the combustion chamber shape changes
The manufacturing quality of the shape of the combustion chamber does not meet the technical requirements. Excessively large and small compression joints and misplaced pistons will change the shape of the combustion chamber, thus affecting the mixing quality of fuel and air, and deteriorating the fuel combustion conditions.
4, improper adjustment of fuel supply advance angle
1) The fuel supply advance angle is too large, and the fuel is injected into the combustion chamber too early. Because the pressure in the cylinder is low, the fuel cannot ignite and burn. When the piston goes up, the cylinder reaches a certain pressure and temperature, and the combustible mixture burns.
2) When the fuel supply advance angle is too small, the fuel injected into the cylinder is too late, and part of the fuel is too late to form a combustible mixture and is separated or discharged. The fuel discharged with the exhaust gas is pyrolyzed to form black smoke.
5. Excessive oil supply
Excessive oil supply increases the amount of oil entering the cylinder, resulting in incomplete combustion of oil and less fuel. In addition, excessive heavy workload, poor fuel quality, and low operating temperatures can cause exhaust fumes.
(b) Blue Smoke
The lubricating oil enters the cylinder and is heated to evaporate into blue oil and gas. The main reason for the emission of blue smoke along with the exhaust gas is:
1. The air filter is blocked, the air intake is not smooth or the oil level in the oil pan is too high (oil bath type air filter).
