Recently, Cargotec's MacGregor has received an order worth about 23 million euros from IHC Merwede in the Netherlands, providing 6 active heave compensation (AHC) subsea cranes and 3 ships installed by British offshore expert Subsea 7 Pipe laying boat. The cranes are expected to be delivered between June and December 2015.
It is reported that the series of pipelaying vessels built by IHC Merwede for Subsea 7 are 731, 733, 735. Each ship will be equipped with a 100-ton SWL crane and a 25-ton MacGregor AHC submarine crane. Up to 3500 meters and 3000 meters. Another 146-meter-long "Seven Waves" ship, which is expected to be delivered this year, will also be equipped with a MacGregor undersea crane.
