As a result, our mass production of low-end product orders fell sharply, while imports of high-end CNC machine tools urgently needed by key users increased. The transformation and upgrading of the industry has become a momentous historical mission. To improve the competitiveness of medium-to-high end products has become an urgent task in the current stage of transformation and upgrading.

Faced with the arduous tasks of transformation and upgrading and the current difficulties, we should maintain our due confidence. This is the first purchase of non-German production stamping equipment for Ford Motor Company in the past 20 years, and it is also the highest level of international stamping equipment orders won by China's machine tool companies. This shows that the level of domestic stamping equipment with completely independent intellectual property rights has achieved a major breakthrough. ! The achievements made by Jiji II are a true reflection of the significant increase in the international competitiveness of the Chinese machine tool industry, and also provide a model for the transformation and upgrading of China's machine tool industry.

Transformation and upgrading need multiple transformations to form joint forces

There are many reasons for the inconspicuous situation in the transformation and upgrading of the industry. One of them is related to our past practice. We focused on product development, did not pay attention to the research market, did not pay attention to the completion of industrialization. Specifically speaking, it is emphasis on science and technology, light technology, heavy development and light industrialization. Our products look very good on the surface, are very advanced, and advanced functions and performance indicators can be achieved, but it will not take long for users to go wrong. Or the product itself can be used, but the manufacturing cost is high and the market is not competitive. Many companies pay attention to pursuing scientific research results and do not invest their energies in hard, meticulous and basic work. If you invest more, you will lose much of the work.

Of course, the emergence of this situation is not related to our policy orientation. We have always paid more attention to the number of achievements, papers, and patents. We have solved the problems of being and lacking, filled in many gaps, but failed to attach importance to the achievement of the market and industrialization. At the same time, it also misled the market-oriented companies. What concerns them is whether they can evaluate the scientific and technological progress awards and whether they can get government subsidies. Although technology is the primary productive force, if it is the case in the past, some scientific and technological achievements may never become productive, and the transformation and upgrading of the industry will not be realized.
