Zhongtian Iron & Steel Thermal Power Plant Boiler Pure Gas Retrofitting Award

Recently, the energy-saving retrofitting project for the purely-fired blast furnace gas of No. 1 boiler of thermal power plant reported by Zhongtian Iron & Steel Group in October last year has now been awarded the "Changzhou City Staff Top Ten Rationalization Proposal Award" and has received a bonus of 3,000 yuan.

With the continuous expansion of the Group's scale, blast furnace gas has also increased significantly. The existing gas consumption system of the Group is not enough to consume this part of blast furnace gas. If excess blast furnace gas is dispersed, it will waste energy and pollute the environment. To this end, the thermal power plant started to implement the comprehensive utilization of surplus blast furnace gas, and changed the existing 1# pulverized coal boiler from coal to pure blast furnace gas, making full use of surplus blast furnace gas as fuel for boilers to produce steam.

Immediately after the proposal was put forward, it was highly valued by the group. The project started on August 15, 2014 and was commissioned after commissioning in November of that year. According to the data tracking, after the implementation of the energy-saving reform project for the purely-fired blast furnace gas of No. 1 boiler of thermal power plant, from December 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015, the cumulative gas consumption of 102.759 million cubic meters of blast furnace gas will be saved, saving 15,7357.4 tons of coal. Calculated during the average coal price of 430 yuan / ton, to obtain direct economic benefits of 6766.3682 million yuan, 1596.46 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions, 259,600 tons of carbon dioxide, and obtained good economic and environmental protection effects.

Since the benefits of the energy-saving reform of the purely-fired blast furnace gas of No. 1 boiler in thermal power plant are obvious, the plant also carried out the energy-saving reform of pure blast furnace gas for No. 3 boiler last year. At present, the plant can consume 880,000 cubic meters of blast furnace gas per hour and can basically consume the Group's surplus blast furnace gas.
