The "Guide" clearly states that the urban public transport intelligent application demonstration project will build "a set of systems, a center, and three platforms", namely the complete set of monitoring systems for urban public transport operating conditions, urban public transport data resource centers, and the operational intelligence of urban public transportation companies. According to the “Guide,” demonstration projects should improve the level of urban public transport travel information services, and provide travelers with basic travel information such as routes and ticket fares through various channels such as electronic information service screens; and urban public buses that have achieved intelligent dispatch. Tram lines should provide passengers with dynamic information such as vehicle location, arrival forecast, and vehicle congestion.
After the implementation of the demonstration project, passengers traveling by city buses can obtain information on travel routes, transfers, etc. through the website, etc. before traveling; they can use the platform's electronic information service screens, mobile terminals, or electronic information service screens in the carriages during travel. By way of broadcasting, information such as vehicle arrival, traffic conditions, etc. can be obtained; after traveling, service evaluation, complaint suggestion, lost property, etc. can be conducted through websites and other channels.
