In 2011, the sales volume of domestically produced SUVs of foreign brands increased by 30.9% year-on-year to 99.40 million units, and the market share increased from 58.0% in 2010 to 61.4%. Sales volume of self-owned domestic SUVs increased by 13.6% year-on-year to 625,100 units, and the market share decreased from 42.0% in 2010 to 38.6%.

According to the price, the domestic SUV market will be divided into four major market segments: low-end (less than 80,000 yuan), medium-end (8-15 million yuan), high-end (15-30 million yuan), and high-end (more than 300,000 yuan). ) In the 2011 SUV segment, market share increased for the high-end and mid-high-end markets - from 4.9% and 53.3% in 2010 to 6.0% and 56.2%, respectively; The low-end market – from 29.5% and 11.3% in 2010 to 29.3% and 8.5%, respectively.

In terms of foreign investment and self-owned brands, foreign SUVs are mainly concentrated in mid-to-high-end and high-end markets in China's SUV segments in 2011, while a very small number are distributed in the mid-end market, but only account for mid-range SUVs. 0.5%. In China's own-brand SUVs, 75.5% of sales in 2011 came from the mid-range SUV market (accounting for 3.6 percentage points higher than in 2010). Autonomous mid-range SUV sales increased by 19.3% to 472,200 units; 22.0% of sales came from the low-end SUV market.
