Fault analysis of tool magazine in numerical control system

The TH5632C machining center adopts the FANUC0-MD numerical control system. During the test run before an emergency mission, due to operational errors, when the tool magazine is being indexed, pressing the reset switch on the operation panel causes the tool magazine to stop automatically and control. The system alarms, the position is wrong when the magazine is stopped. At the same time, each switch of the main operation panel is locked, the manual operation mode is out of order, and the whole machine tool is in a crash state.

Fault analysis: After the fault occurs, the entire machine tool is inspected, and the control system is initially determined to be normal, and the fault belongs to the machine side fault. From the position of the Markov mechanism of the rotary positioning of the tool magazine, since the index pin is just at the dead point of the Markov mechanism, the position sensor cannot accurately determine the position of the current tool magazine, so that the control system cannot clearly detect the signal. Causes the control system to continue executing program commands, causing the system to freeze.

Solution: To solve the crash problem, make the magazine in a detectable position. When the magazine returns to the starting position and then returns the entire system to its original state, the device can be put into normal operation. According to this idea, the tool holder indexing position fixing nut is loosened, and moved backward by 1 cm, so that the sensor completes counting once, and the entire control system is out of the crash state. Through the switch on the control panel, the indexing of the tool magazine in the system is changed to manual operation, and the tool magazine is returned to the initial position by stepping the manual button on the machine side, and then the whole system is returned to the initial state, and the magazine position is restored. The sensor is reset, the tool table is reprogrammed, the system is restarted, and the device is working properly. This method not only saves time, but also has no effect on machine accuracy.
