In terms of combustion control, FAW Xichai has reduced its nitrogen oxide emissions from 9.0g/kW.h to 5.0g/kW.h through optimized combustion design and the use of electronically-controlled common rail technology. The particle emission was reduced from 0.36 g/kW.h to 0.10 g/kW.h. According to the production scale of xichai's annual output of 360,000 units, the annual reduction of nitrogen oxides is 17,000 tons, and the reduction of particles by more than 1.1 million tons. In the aspect of production technology, FAW Xichai has shortened the delivery test time of diesel engines through various optimization methods, from the average 1-1.5 hours to the current 0.5 hours, and can save 7,500 tons of fuel consumption each year.
