GTT received technology for an LNG carrier
It is reported that the French LNG film enclosure system and ship transportation expert Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) have received new orders to provide technology for an LNG carrier of the Greek shipowner Chandris. The new ship will be built by Daewoo Shipbuilding Co., Korea and is expected to be delivered in 2018. The vessel will be equipped with GTT's NO96-GW technology to optimize the evaporation rate of LNG cargo on board. GTT has long been working with DNV GL classification societies, Hyundai Heavy Industries and GasLog to develop an LNG carrier concept with an energy efficiency of approximately 8% and a cargo capacity increase of 5%.
