The project's chief scientist, Li Qing, said that the Large Hadron Collider, a European large-scale scientific installation that had contributed to the Nobel Prize for "God Particles," sometimes encountered material temperatures of up to 10 trillion degrees Celsius during a collision test. At 1 million times the core temperature of the Sun, the completion of such experiments is inseparable from the cryogenic environment created by large cryogenic refrigeration equipment.

Large-scale cryogenic refrigeration technology has been widely used in high-tech fields. Of the 16 major projects identified in the “Mid-term and long-term national major science and technology infrastructure construction plan (2012-2030)”, 8 are related to cryogenic technology. However, prior to this, almost all of China’s products used in this area were imported products. In some special fields, especially the large-scale cryogenic refrigeration technology required for new-generation cryogenic rockets, developed countries have implemented monopoly policies on foreign countries, even if Imported large-scale low-temperature refrigeration equipment may also face the situation in the latter part of the operation and maintenance process because of lack of key spare parts.

It is understood that the developed countries have always imposed a technical blockade on large-scale cryogenic refrigeration technology in China. Nowadays, simulating the space temperature is no longer a problem for our country. This large-scale cryogenic refrigeration equipment has achieved zero breakthrough in China's cryogenic equipment with a cooling capacity of 10,000 watts in the liquid hydrogen temperature zone, not only to solve our country's future decades. The urgent needs of major scientific projects, aerospace engineering and other fields are of great significance, and they can promote the development of advanced technologies such as special compressors, special heat exchangers for multi-streams, and high-speed rotary machines in China.
