Norway will supply parts to Chinese automakers

In the middle of July, Norwegian spare parts supplier Kongsberg announced that its automotive interior systems business unit will supply seat heaters for Chinese car manufacturers SUVs and cars.

Kongsberger said that it will supply seat heaters for a global "best-selling crossover SUV" and a "C-class sedan" (roughly equivalent to a Chinese A-class) owned by the global vehicle manufacturers. The contract amount is 11.2 million euros, or about 89 million Norwegian krone, valid for 7 years. However, Kongsberg did not reveal the name of the car brand or model.

Production will begin in the second half of 2015 and will be completed by Kongsberg’s factory in Wuxi.
