In the first month of this year, China's imports of metal processing machine tools fell

Editor's note: In January 2011, China imported 11,277 metal processing machines, a decrease of 10.83% from 12,647 units in December 2010 (annually), but a sharp increase of 85.23% from 6,187 units in January 2010 (year-on-year); The amount was approximately US$1.022 billion, a decrease of 7.69% from the previous quarter and an increase of 85.64% year-on-year; the average import price was US$90,634 per unit, a 3.5% increase from the previous quarter and a slight increase of 0.22% year-on-year. From this data, it can be seen that China's imports of metal processing machine tools have fallen in price.

On February 14, China's Customs released the latest statistics show that in January 2011, China imported 11,277 sets of metal processing machines, which was 10.83% lower than the 12,647 sets in December 2010 (annually), but it was lower than January 2010 ( The year-on-year increase of 6187 units was 85.23%; the import amount was approximately 1.022 billion US dollars, a decrease of 7.69% from the previous period and an increase of 85.64% from the same period last year; the average unit price of imports was US$90,634 per unit, an increase of 3.52% over the previous period and a slight increase of 0.22% over the same period last year.

In 2010, China's total number of imported metal processing machine tools reached 114,496 units, an increase of 80.6% year-on-year; the cumulative amount of imports was approximately US$9.424 billion, a simultaneous increase of 60.1%. The economic recovery has driven the market's demand for machine tools soaring that the total import of metal processing machine tools in China in 2010 exceeded US$7.587 billion in 2008, setting another record high.

Although machine tool imports maintained a relatively high growth rate, the average unit price for imported machine tools in 2010 was 85,565 U.S. dollars per unit, a decrease of 6.85% from 2009 and 4.1% from 2008. In addition, the average import unit price of CNC machine tools in China fell by nearly 30% in 2010. It can be seen that the increase in imports of high-end machine tools in China is evident, indicating that the import structure of China's machine tools is still unreasonable and must be further optimized.
