(Reporter Wu Bingming correspondent Gao Lixin) On July 8, the reporter learned from the Huludao City Government that the 50,000-ton/year TDI project of Liaoning Northern Jinhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd. has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The project was listed by the state as the first batch of 52 national debt support projects in Liaoning to rejuvenate the old industrial base in northeast China.

Liaoning North Jinhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock company formed by China Weapons Corporation and Jinhua Chemical Group with 60% and 40% respectively. The Ordnance Group is one of the only two companies with mature production technology of TDI in China and has sufficient technological advantages. The Jinhua Group can provide the project with the chlorine and hydrogen required for production. It can also accept the HCL of the joint venture's by-products to produce PVC, so that the single chlorine can be used for multiple purposes, which has both resource advantages and circular economy. Therefore, the integration of the two companies to jointly produce toluene diisocyanate has a strong advantage. It is understood that the total investment of the project is 8.1385 billion yuan, of which construction investment is 7.6921 billion yuan.
